Patrick Bourke

Chief Executive Officer

Patrick has had an extensive background in security management and is a former Director of several Chubb Companies and held the title of Managing Director of Chubb Protective Services prior to purchasing Southern Cross Protection (Formerly Chubb Mobile Services).

Patrick holds extensive knowledge in the area of security operations and management and is complimented by his Bachelor in Accounting, and a Masters in Marketing. Patrick has owned Southern Cross Protection since December 2008 and has changed a significant loss making organisation into a profitable, successful, customer and service focused organisation.

Kylie Smith

Finance Director

Kylie joined the Southern Cross Protection team in early 2010 having previously held a position in the same capacity at Chubb Protective Service. With over 20 years experience in Finance, Kylie brings a wealth of experience to the Southern Cross Protection team. Having worked in a variety of different industries from Publishing to Transport, Kylie has the experience and expertise to fulfill the position of Finance Director.

Ken Duncan

National Operations Manager

Ken commenced employment with the company in 1993 and has held senior management positions in Electronic Security and Guard/Mobile Service divisions in WA, Victoria and NSW.  In addition, he spent a number of years back when Southern Cross was part of Chubb in the corporate office as General Manager of Compliance.

During the past 25 years he has gained extensive experience in finance, service delivery, industrial relations, safety management, compliance, system and software improvements, quality assurance etc.
Ken has been instrumental in developing and implementing Southern Cross’s compliance procedures and program on a national basis.  

Ken has a broad range of management skills and qualifications combined with 25 years experience within the electronic and manpower security industry. His excellent communication skills and commitment to customer service ensures the services are delivered to a consistently high standard.

Vicky Hopper

National HR Manager

Vicky is in charge of the Planning, developing and implementing HR strategies including recruitment policies, quality procedures, disciplinary, processes and procedures, grievance procedures, counselling and contracts; Evaluating training programmes for staff and implementing new training solutions that meet the needs of the business and the people.

Greg Easy

National Sales and Marketing Manager

Greg commenced his career as a Business Development Executive some 22 years ago and has spent the last 10 years working in the Logistics industry as a National Business Development and Marketing Manager, with a heavy focus on Customer Relationships, both development and retention.

Greg has held various roles within Scott’s Refrigerated Freightways, Patrick Corp, Mayne Logistics, Rand Transport and Toll Priority.

Greg is newly appointed to his role and will focus on delivering to the business an innovative and commercially sound marketing plan whilst developing new opportunities to ensure the long term sustainability of the business. 

Jeff Walker

National Risk Advisor

A highly experienced and accomplished principal in specialised protective security. Extensive background in Counter-Terrorism. Additional activities encompasses negotiating with clients, creating strategic planning procedures, directing operational management, monitoring and analysing market demands, and changing demographics. Other key attributes includes strategic security planning, contingency/crisis planning, physical security design and security risk management

Steve Cole

Regional Manager - QLD & NSW

Security and Safety background spanning 25 years specialising in the Hospitality industry. Over the past 3 years as Regional Manager in Queensland and NSW. The role incorporated the delivering of a compliant, cost effective Manpower solution in static, mobile patrol and alarm response’s while maintaining a safe working environment for our customers and staff.

Robin Hodgson

Regional Manager - WA, SA & NT

Security and Military background spanning 37 years. Operational management of both the Patrols and Guarding business following ten years as a Royal Marine Commando. Robin has extensive experience delivering of a compliant, cost effective Manpower solution in static, mobile patrol and alarm response’s while maintaining a safe working environment for our customers and staff.
